Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop one or more major areas of the Synaptic platform, which comprises of multiple components; oversees project teams as required.
• Translate internal technical/product requirements into system requirements, design specifications and document new and/or existing application requirements.
• Find creative and elegant solutions to complex problems. Conceive and lead the development and design of highly innovative, large, software solutions that meet specifications and significantly impact future development. As a Lead Engineer, you will be expected to bring new and fresh ideas to the company and its solutions. You will be part of the ideation and conception phases and help define the scope and business requirements of the projects.
• Participate in conceiving and setting the direction for development projects and ensuring all deliverables from the team are of the highest quality.
• Perform and lead triage and analysis of application incidents to provide possible short term and long-term resolutions as appropriate based on the business priority.
• Work closely with operations and software engineering teams to design and implement scalable and high performance solutions for our platform as a service and internal management tools.
• Evaluates, analyzes and leads the adoption of emerging new technologies and practices to evolve as new standards that improve software delivery and maximize value.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with a solid understanding of any cloud technologies.
• Experience in working with complex & scalable problems.
• Experience in setting up development processes to ensure timely and optimal delivery.
• Ability to instrument a system to identify and solve performance issues and constraints.
• Understanding of how cloud technologies work e.g. high availability, distributed computing, fault tolerance etc.
• In-depth understanding of CI/CD, Monitoring, Logging, Kubernetes etc.
• Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
• Ability to program using one or more high-level languages, such as Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby etc.
• Previous experience of working with different cloud vendors like AWS/GCP/Azure is a plus.
• Previous experience with technologies like terraform, ansible, packer, capistrano is a plus.
